First Impression: The packaging was a bit underwhelming, I got over that quickly as soon as I opened it and smelt it. I absolutely loved the smell and the fact that it was all natural. I am a sucker for that.
What I loved: The smell, I loved that my son loved it. He could even take it without formula - we had a phase where he didn't like milk - I love that the foods are versatile and can be used in different recipes.

What I didn't like; there was really nothing I disliked about the product , maybe except that it finished quickly. Unfortunately, I had to stop buying from them, on 2 occasions after preparing the meals I saw ant in the food. The first time (first batch I bought) I told them and they replaced it for me but I didn't bother to tell them the second time. I am sure it wasn't from my house because, I had always kept the products in the fridge.

Verdict: Will I recommend the products? yes! this is just my experience and it has been a lot more difficult to make sure my son has a balanced meal but I would rather go through the difficulty.

Cost: Each product: N1,400
Full set N6,000 - this included Fish powder and crayfish powder
Rating: 4 Cuddly loves

First Impression: I was so excited when I saw the book online, I pre-ordered it immediately. I love the fact that the book was visually appealing. The quality of the book was above what I expected as per Naija but it wasn't there-there.

What I loved: I love that the book has variety of recipes that at you can use and not only for your baby. I loved the quality of the book, it is better than most prints done by Nigerian authors.

What I didn't like: No attention to details, there was a table of contents with page numbers but the actual pages were not numbered which makes it hard to just skip to what you need.

The structure of the book: There were repeated recipes and I confirmed that.
The quality; I know I said I loved the quality of the book overall but the pictures used shows that they were not deliberate about it. I get that it is a lot of work to make the food and take the pictures but the inconsistency with the images was too much. There were inconsistencies with the fonts and a few errors missed while editing.

Cost: N8,500 (I bought it while it was up for pre-order - don't know how much it costs now)
Rating: 3 Cuddly Love

Will I recommend this? Yes! Because, you can't have too many recipes at your finger tip.

Vegan in Nigeria
Over the years I have become conscious of the things that I eat, initially because I wanted to lose and maintain my weight but in doing my research I discovered the benefit of actually eating clean way beyond weight lose. I decided to love me enough to not just eat Junk.
When I subscribed to Netflix, was attracted to the documentary "What the Health" and was shocked by everything that was revealed in there and I made a decision based on the information to go vegan.
In my new quest of becoming vegan, I had a conversation with my friend about it and he said "At the end of the day everyone is trying to gain something" what he means is that the creator of the documentary that is exposing the meat and dairy industry and encouraging people to go Vegan will also be trying to gain from the rising vegan industry in the country.
I sort of see his point, in the sense that everyone wants to cash out at the end of the day but I would rather enrich people and businesses that make products that are good for me as against the ones that kill me slowly.
A few people didn't think I was in it for the long haul but, It's been almost 3 months since I made the decision and I am still transitioning but I have had 2 weeks straight vegan meals and it was indeed amazing. It's been an interesting journey since I made the decision.
I will share subsequently on the things I have learnt in this short journey, my recipes and thinking of my baby also being vegan in Nigeria.

What do you think of the vegan lifestyle? Is it something you would consider?
